INSPIRE – Geospatial World Forum exposed to C2-SENSE project

The five-day long coference connecting industries, government representatives, geospatial companies and academia was exposed to the C2-SENSE project.

The theme of the INSPIRE-Geospatial World Forum conference was “Convergence: Policies + Practicies + Processes via PPP”, and it was held in Portugal in the period of 25th-29th May. The aim was “addressing the need for greater coordination among policy-makers, technology providers and users to benefit the industry, and to highlight geospatial workflows as an enabler for successful PPPs by facilitating more informed decision makig among the stakeholder”, as written on the conference’s page.

C2-SENSE was presented during the “Urban Resilience & Sustainability” thematic session. The main subject of the presentation was the introduction of the C2-SENSE idea and project progress to a wider public, which included government representatives. The main issues in domain of Emergancy and Disaster Management were identified, as are, for example, interoperabilty issues that are present in most organizations and countries to the current date.

The presentation slides and the corresponding publication can be downloaded from C2-SENSE Publication page.
